Nagraj Manjule is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter known for the film Sairat. He received the National Film Award in NonFeature Film category for his first short film Pistulya. Manjule has also published a book of poetry in Marathi titled ‘Unhachya Katavirudhha’ which won the Bhairuratan Damani Sahitya Puraskar. At the 61st National Film Awards, Manjule’s Fandry won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director.
