Imtiaz Ali is a film director and writer. He started his career with writing and directing television shows. He directed popular serials like Imtehaan, Naina and Kurukshetra. In 2005, he made his big screen directorial debut with Socha Na Tha, which was appreciated for its freshness of approach. He earned critical and commercial success for his next film Jab We Met(2007). Love AajKal (2009) and Rockstar (2011) made him a known face amongst youngsters. His following films Highway (2014) and Tamasha (2015) was well received by critics and fans alike. His next film stars Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, shooting is scheduled to start in August.
