Amrit-PritamAmrit Pritam is a well-known sound designer who has received the Filmfare and IIFA award for his work. He has been specially appreciated for his work in Slumdog Millionaire (2008), Omkara (2006) and Ghajini (2008), among others. Born in Jorhat, Assam, Amrit Pritam graduated in Physics from JB College, Jorhat and later joined Jyoti Chitaban, Guwahati. Having got a break in an Assamese film, he decided to move out and try his luck in Mumbai. Accordingly, in the year 2002, he and his friend Debojit Changmai packed their bags and set out to follow their dreams. Amrit Pritam’s first break came about in 2003 with Karan Johar’s Kal Ho Naa Ho. Since then, there has been no looking back for him.
